You sometimes come across a patterned paper so beautiful you can't resist making something with it. That's what happened when I saw these card samples by Flossiphy.

Floral Bird Cards

These little bird cards were created using gorgeous, patterned papers designed by Paulene Longley from Flossiphy. Paulene is a self-taught NZ watercolour artist and surface pattern designer whose joyful, colourful style finds its way onto fabric, stationery, and an ever-growing range of beautifully designed products. When the paper is the hero, very little else is needed. An exuberant ruby headdress, a delicate lace hem and some googly eyes is all it takes - super simple, charmingly unique. This is the magic of playing with beautiful materials, with no fixed destination in mind.

Add a funky flower hairdo and some googly eyes to any patterned paper for a quick and easy card.

Finding your Flock

A scrap of gorgeous paper, a pair of scissors, and whatever you have in your craft box - that's the whole story. The floral card ideas are already living in the paper, waiting for your hands to set them free. Discover more patterned paper bird card inspiration on Pinterest →
