I'm Sandie Meyrick, and Quick Creative was born from the basic belief that creativity nourishes the soul. Creativity isn't bound by right or wrong outcomes, but sets us free to rediscover the journey without distance, from the head to the heart. This space is dedicated to exploring simple, yet stylish handmade card and design ideas to inspire creative play.
Creativity as a pathway to self-expression
The way I see it, truly thriving is not just about easing stress, but more about gently leaning into lives that feel joyful, loving and fulfilling. At any moment, we are free to see things a little differently, and creativity has a way of loosening our attachment to the stuff going on in our heads. Engaging in creative activity can bring about subtle shifts at a cellular level, enhancing our vitality, and making us feel more connected and in harmony with the world. The wonderful thing is that creativity can become a pathway to self-expression, without any need to agonise over it or get it “right.” Simply slowing down and spending time with something calm and creative has a natural way of restoring balance, because when we are present and fully immersed in activities that bring us joy, we attune more deeply to our authentic selves.
Why Quick Creative?
They say that if you do what you love, you'll never work a day in your life. I initially trained as a teacher, but have spent most of my working life in the travel and building industries. After studying Digital Media in 2007, website design became my side-hustle, alongside raising a family. Making and selling handmade cards is something I've always returned to, but my love of digital design is equally compelling, so the idea of curating, and inspiring others through digital storytelling has finally emerged as Quick Creative, and the Card Couture eBook. For me, and maybe for you too, creating things is more than a hobby - it’s an expression of joy, and sharing that joy enlivens all of us.
