A beautifully crafted card deserves an equally beautiful container, and decorated envelopes bring everything together in a polished, boutique-style finish. Use your card design as the cue to create an elegant ensemble, or just accentuate the envelope to deliver an upmarket stationery feel.
Smaller, compact patterns tend to look better as envelope linings, simply because you can see and appreciate more of the design within the confined space. Plain colours, or different textures are equally appealing when they enhance the whole look. Use AI to generate a bespoke floral paper lining, or use ready-made patterned tissue paper. You can line the envelope with a funny black and white photograph, a hand-drawn pattern, pieces of old maps or book pages or photocopies botanical prints.
